At the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chinese entrepreneurs beginning March 3rd President of Wodzisław Śląski Mieczysław Kieca together with a Deputy President Dariusz Szymczak spent one week in the Fujian province.

The key issues of the visit involved disclosing the investment offer of Wodzisław Śląski, discussing the Polish-Chinese economic cooperation and mutual support in this sphere, and also exchange of letters of intent.

President Mieczysław Kieca said that Wodzisław Śląski had a very interesting investment offer and that it received a lot of interest among Chinese entrepreneurs. It has also been said that they announced their visit. It is the first step to success, however there is still much to be done. It seems that potential investors will conduct appropriate economic analyses of the market attractiveness - President said.

Chinese businessmen expressed their interest in the possibility of participating in investment processes in Poland, particularly those that regard the road infrastructure - Deputy President Dariusz Szyczak said – I must admit that the scope and level of works conducted in this sphere in China are impressive and the costs of conducting such works may be very competitive.

The presidents also started talks on establishing partnership with the Minqing city. It will concern trade exchange and exchange of information regarding investment possibilities. Companies in Minqing city specialize in production of building materials and ceramic, the processing of agricultural products and handicrafts.
